Coastal Homes

Hampton Homes

Named Hampton after the beach houses located outside of New York State, USA, on the eastern end of Long Island, this style of home showcases stunning definitive features. Elegantly inviting, a Hampton home offers a relaxed and beautiful environment, ideal for use as your primary residence or as a holiday house.

Featuring pitched roofs with large framed front verandahs, a Hampton home offers a coastal and sophisticated style. A relaxed ambiance with added comfortability, this style of home is usually finished with vertical timber panelling, complemented by colour palettes of creams, soft greys, blues and whites. Add in some cabinetry to match the style and a stone bench top and you’ll have a home that will leave you in awe.

Country Homes

Loosely based on traditional farmhouse styles, a country home features striking vaulted ceilings and white tones. Offering a warm and cosy ambiance, a country style house could be your next home.

Featuring muted colours with an antique or distressed design, a country home boasts spacious design and centralised living areas for a real homey feel. This soft style showcases curved lines that are usually complemented by a simple yet fruitful decor in natural themes. Rustic and cosy, a country home offers a lovely, family feel.

Modern Homes

Showcasing stunning clean lines, often in a square or boxed shaped style, a modern home creates a sense of calm ambiance. Complemented by a flat or skillion roof, this style of home is minimal with a serene feel.

With larger open living designs, finished with floor to ceiling windows, a modern home provides a spacious feel. Offering an abundance of light and space, this style also supports passive solar design principles.

In the interior we usually see minimalist decoration, proving a more-is-less style of philosophy. With large picture windows and contemporary light fittings, architraves, skirting boards and cabinets inside, a contemporary home keeps the ambiance low-key. The Unique Custom Homes Process

Feasibility Study

Assessing your project before beginning ensures your build is successful. The feasibility study consists of a review of planning permits, a survey confirming boundaries and levels and an overall review of the water and power services available. With a clear direction, we can capture exactly what your home will consist of.

Land

Going through where you want to build, Unique Custom Homes will assess what is able to be built, where you want. We will also go through where there is land available, such as Corinella. Working around narrow blocks or sloping, we can also do knockdown-rebuilds.

Design Brief & Specifications

Delving deep into your design specifications, we ensure your brief is met with the utmost care and consideration. Answering any questions or queries you may have, Unique Custom Homes will thoroughly go through your brief in collaboration with the architect. Unique Custom Homes can be sure we get it perfect, right down to where you want to have your morning coffee.

Designs

Whether you provide your design or want us to design one with you, Unique Custom Homes take the design process seriously. Including sketches and floorplans, connectivity and three-dimensional perspectives, defining areas, room allocations and more, we work to ensure your design can be actioned.

Working Drawings

Working drawings include architectural dimensions, adjusting sizes, construction methods and any other specifications to ensure compliance. The working drawings are given to the construction team to understand any specifications and then the design team finalises the drawings to be actioned.

Estimate

After the drawings have been finalised, an estimate of the costs is provided to you for final approval. With your budget being given in the early stages, the estimate will be within your range of funds, unless discussed through the process.

Build

Once the structural plans and design are finalised and signed off, the builders, architects and interior managers (often the home owner) come together. Working collaboratively, the design’s full intent is realised once the construction has commenced.
